Tales of Suspense

Tales of Suspense (1959–1968) is one of Marvel’s most important Silver Age series, beginning as a sci-fi and mystery anthology before shifting to superhero stories. It introduced Iron Man in issue #39, featured his early adventures, and later paired him with Captain America, who headlined the book from issue #59 onward. With iconic first appearances, early Iron Man armor evolutions, and classic Captain America tales, Tales of Suspense is a cornerstone of Marvel Silver Age collecting.
